Service Booking, Terms and Conditions

DATA- Neither Computer Associated Decisions (CAD) nor its employees will be responsible for the loss or corruption of any data on any device booked in with CAD. This includes data stored on or accessed via your device. It is your responsibility to ensure that, prior to inspection, your device has been backed up. We are not responsible and cannot be held liable for any data loss which may occur as a result of the services.

DIAGNOSIS- All time scales are subject to current backlog.

WARRANTY- It is the responsibility of the customer to provide warranty status or proof of purchase when requested (sales invoice: sales receipt) Manufacture warranty covers hardware repairs only, all software faults may be chargeable as they will be treated as non-warranty.

COURIERS- When equipment is shipped in warranty or out of warranty, the customer is liable for all courier charges and return charges. Collection/delivery is chargeable at £10.00 each way. CAD nor its employees accept liability for lost/damage caused in transit.

ACCESSORIES- Please do not book in/send in any accessories unless requested by CAD. CAD will not accept liability for accessories.

REPLACEMENT PARTS- Any part replaced by CAD become solely the property of CAD. Parts supplied by manufactures may in some cases be refurbished rather than new. Replacement parts/exchanges carry a 90-day warranty from day of receipt with CAD. Prices quoted for Apple repairs may/will be for exchange parts unless stated (faulty parts must be returned to Apple in order to qualify for a discounted quotation).

REPAIR TIME-CAD aim to complete repairs within 2 weeks of quote authorisation. Subject to the availability of parts. Completion dates are estimated and whilst every effort is made to meet such dates, CAD will not be responsible for any delays however caused.

GDPR-We will pass your personal information on to the manufacturer/warranty provider or insurer of your device in order to validate warranty coverage/claims and order genuine parts. Information you provide to us when requesting a repair will be shared with the above only. They may contact you to ask for feedback on the service you have received. Information provided to the device manufacturer/warranty provider or insurer will be handled in accordance with their privacy policy. CAD will hold on file all customer details to expedite repair requests and non-billing criteria. We will only give your personal information to other third parties where the law either requires or allows us to do so. CAD will never sell your information.

Repaired hardware will be stored for a maximum of 3 months after the customer has been contacted. After this time, the hardware maybe disposed of and any property will become the property of CAD. CAD reserves the right for security reasons, not to return goods without this booking in-form and along with full payment where applicable.

All work undertaken is subject to our trading Terms and Conditions, and where appropriate, or support Contract Terms and Conditions.
